Don't take our word for it. See what our fans have to say.
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let you know what fans my wife and I are of you and your
work. Your beer is unique and can compete with anything out there. I am a
MSU grad of '91 and have spent the last 15 years in the US Army. It was
during the pre-deployment for my last tour of Iraq with the 155th SAB(2-
114 Starkville) that I first got to try it and it was amazing. You are living our
dream. You were able to craft a beer out of something that just says
"southern" and do it on your own terms. Cheers to you both; all of you.
We would be there working for free if it was feasible. Keep it up; don't give
up. You are pioneers for our great state and representative of something
noble. Your name is attached to the idea of something bigger than you
realized; isn't it? Be proud of what you have done, because we certainly are.
Thanks.
Dear Leslie,
I just wanted to thank you very much for your time and efforts. Everyone
enjoyed himself or herself fully [at the brewery tour]. We decided to head
on down to the festival after the tour. Everyone tasted some good shrimp
dishes, heard some good music, and a couple of us had some good beer. I
know that your enthusiasm shows through to your products and it is only a
matter of time before others realize that Lazy Magnolia is one of the premier
beers of the South. Hopefully today I will have a chance to talk to my friend
who opened the organic market and drop the idea. I will let you know
what he thinks. Once again, thank you very much.

We met you at the Emerald Coast Beer Festival. You recommended
Mellow Mushroom as a place to find the Lighthouse Pale Ale in lieu of the
Bay City Grill. You may remember giving us a L. M. glass in the parking lot
on Sunday morning after the festival. Just wanted to let you know that the
Lighthouse Pale Ale is GOOD!
Tell Leslie the beer is THE BEST! and thank you for coming to our festival.

gotta say - this beer is off the hook. looking forward to the country roads
article next month. been touting how good beer is. My wife and I enjoy the
amber, my personal fav is the southern pee-can. Just picked up a pig of
each at Treps in Woodville. Enjoying a glass right now. Just wanted to say
thanks for getting it somewhere locally so quick. trying to create some buzz,
but don't want it to get TOO popular, then I may not be able to get it so
easily....
We had a pig in the fridge for my son's first b-day party. Me and my gang
all originally being from Natchez are used to beer at all events - it only lasted
about 45 minutes. Big hit. Everyone loved it (Amber). Wait till they get a
load of the pecan. Hunting season will be promising with the idea of
enjoying this stuff. thanks

Hi there,
Just wanted to let you know that we are happy to see more restaurants
carrying your beer around town! We look forward to the day when we
can buy Lazy Magnolia Beer in a bottle so we can stock our beer
fridges at home. Now that the party pigs are available, you can bet
we'll be spreading the word about Lazy Magnolia at our tailgates!

I was over at Art Walk this past Saturday and met up with you guys. I had
a great Amberjaque brew. The Los Tres Amigos restaurant in Bay St. Louis
opened on Thursday last week. I returned to the restaurant after Art Walk
Saturday evening and they had your beer pouring. First time I tasted it - It is
excellent. Just wanted to let you know.

I couldn't be happier with much of anything--just having a really fine
brewery here in Mississippi. I wish you the very best. If I were a few years
closer to retirement I'd apply for any job you've got down there. I am living
vicariously through you guys - my dream come true would be doing what
you are.
Enough, enough. The Southern Pecan, my first taste of your masterpieces,
is wonderful. I had the hardest time waiting till Father's Day weekend so I
could lavish myself with one of the little kegs (from McDades in Jackson).
Got home with it on Friday night and had a few pints! No disappointment
there! Your product is terrific and I'm a real beer lover who never stops
seeking out the micros all across the country.

On behalf of the LA Lagers Homebrew Club of Mobile, Alabama we
would like to thank you for opening your doors to our weary busload of
WYES fest crawlers Sunday afternoon. Even more so, we would like to
thank you for crafting those tasty, malty, sudsy, and all those other "y's" that
we were fortunate to sample (in abundance) at the local general store/
tasting room/pizza joint/almost a brewpub just down the road. (RESTOCK
ASAP; we bought the store out of Party Pigs) Congratulations on World
Beer Cup awards--Amberjaque Rye and Southen Pecan Nut Brown Ales--
they were surely earned. We especially look forward to a day soon when
Lazy Magnolia beers will begin to flow into the South Alabama market.
Thank you and Cheers.

I was just in Jackson, MS last week doing some promotional work for [A
National Network] I'm an actor on that show and a lover of good beer. The
local cameramen and I got into a discussion about Dutch, Belgium and
German ales and summer wheats, and then they would not let me leave for
the airport until I visited Hal and Mal's bar and tried the Amberjaque and of
course Blue Heron. I'm so glad I succumbed to the peer pressure...
Magnolia makes stunning beers...

My husband and I are pretty much addicted to your beer. I’m a Blue
Heron kind of gal--he goes for the Southern Pecan. Thank you so much for
what you do. We are so proud to have a brewery in Mississippi finally!

Greetings,
I had my first pint of the Southern Pecan the other day at Hal and Mal's in
Jackson, Miss. Damn! That is superb. I'm usually a devotee of Guinness,
Newcastle, and occasionally Negro Modelo, but after a long breathless
gulp of the Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan ale I knew I'd found a new local
nectar that will put a smile on my face.
Thanks for the great brew and keep up the great work. I'm spreadin' the
word.

There are very few beers that are from American breweries that I
REALLY like, but I am an optimist, so I am always willing to try a new one.
This evening I ate at Mugshots in Starkville, MS and they had a 'new' beer
on tap, the Southern Pecan. WOW! It was awesome! It is so great to
finally have an American beer that I enjoy. When I got home I had to find
out where it came from, who makes it, and where I can buy it for home
consumption. I have already found a retailer here to get it from. Also, I was
surprised to find that not only is it made in Mississippi, but it is made near
my hometown of Pascagoula. I am going to do my best to spread the word
up here to my friends about y'all.
Thanks, and keep up the good brewing!

Dear Lazy Magnolia,
I have been visiting my family and friends in Bay St. Louis for several
weeks. Since I went to my first Second Saturday after Katrina, I have
been enjoying your beer. I sampled Indian Summer at the Mockingbird
Cafe' last on the suggestion of your employee, Matt. I wish I remembered
his last name because he was so informative and helpful in my choice. I've
been keeping up with all the press about your brewery through local news
web sites and such. Much luck, although I don't think you need luck with a
product like yours.
I've moved to Mexico since Katrina, and return next week. Although I've
always thought their beer was a delight, I'm going to miss the taste of home.
Thanks for your efforts, and continued success to Lazy Magnolia.
Sincerely,
Melanie
Matt,
We really appreciate the time you guys spent
showing us around.
Everyone that did not have to work made it by the
Keg and Barrel to
sample their free beer. Of course everyone bought
extra beers after
that (That was sneaky of you!). K&B had just
switched out the
Jefferson Stout to Lighthouse Pale Ale, so I got to
try that for the first time. Of course it was great.
We're all looking forward to the pepper beer. When
you get around to making a USM beer, you can
make a Bock: Golden Eagle Lager, the Official Bock
of the Rock (our stadium).
Cheers,
Mike
